News
After the shock of the news from the biopsy I did not get much done this weekend. At least the hardwood floor guys were there putting in the flooring so I felt like something got done this weekend. This afternoon I am getting back over there and working. Getting back on with things. I will deal with the surgery in between things and hopefully get it all over with quickly. Keep you posted.

Working Working
We got a lot done yesterday. We pulled the entire half bath and all the laminate flooring up. Word to the wise...Once you put Laminate flooring down be prepared for it to be there a long time. It was a bear to get up. I think every muscle hurts. I also met with the Kitchen designer. Of course the kitchen I wanted is about $2000 more than what I budgeted. I am meeting with her again this afternoon at 3 pm to determine what changes we can make to get closer to the budget. I am going to work over there this morning on the half bath. Paint and sand it. Chuck does not get another day off until Thursday and I have to have the biopsy done first thing. Hopefully it will not ruin the entire day and we can still get some work done in the afternoon. The Floor guy comes early saturday and both the upstairs and downstairs needs to be ready to go. This means I have a lot of painting to do by this weekend. I keep thinking I should sell the place when we are done, just so we don't have to move. Hopefully as we progress I will feel differently.

I feel like a slug.
The last two days I was not able to work on the townhouse. Chuck has to work 12 hour days till Monday and I was so beat and tired that I took these two days off to take care of some our other stuff we have going on. We were able to get the flooring picked out and an installer to start next Saturday. So we have to this week get the laminate flooring up and the carpet/tacks etc. Ready for him to start 7 am! I am having a biopsy done on Thursday so not much will get done that day. Not looking forward to that one bit. Praying all will be fine.
The flooring we picked out is real rustic maple flooring it looks great!

Turnesa is Rented
With Turnesa rented now, we have to be in this place by the end of August! That is basically 4 weeks away! For a complete renovation!!! Wish us luck!
Week 1
Week 1

As you can see this week was a lot of hard work. It took 5 days to remove all the wallpaper in the house along with the popcorn ceiling. Removing the popcorn ceiling will make your ceilings feel higher if you do not have vaulted ceilings. I am beat. We went shopping yesterday and spent half our budget on hard wood flooring, cabinets, ceiling fans, drop lighting, mirrors etc. Today I am to go buy paint! The hardwood flooring can not be installed for about a week because the floor has to live in your house for a while before putting it down.

Closed!
We closed late yesterday and then ran to an HOA meeting to decide the roof on the building and the change of the exterior. We all voted on a Metal "key west" style roof and the latter siding will be removed. We are discussing painting each unit different to add a little more distinction and add shutters. Again giving it a coaster flare. Today I am going to get some supplies to start the renovations tomorrows. Lowe's is having a class on installing laminate flooring at 11 am on Saturday. I may attend just to see if this a route we want to take. At the moment I want real hardwood. I don't think it is that much more expensive and since we don't have little kids on trikes with sippy cups I think it will add more class to the unit. We have TONS of wall paper to remove. Seems each room has some! I will add some photos over the weekend. We will wait until the floors are completed prior to moving anything in the place. We want to first remove the popcorn ceiling and wall paper before we bring some items in. We have the house on Turnesa up for rent and hope to be in this place by the end of August.
